  • House of senate approval for new proposed bill (C-6) citizenship law has been postponed

Liberal government earlier this year did propose changes to citizenship law by introducing C-6 to the parliament of Canada . The bill has passed with positive votes through the parliament on June 17th. Although the bill reached the senate and reviewed on the same day, yet due to the parliament summer vacation the final review by senates is postponed to September.

The liberal government was hoping to receive the senate's approval prior to July 1st in order to announce the new changes to the public on Canada day.
