Saskatchewan Skilled worker program reached its intake Quota

The Cap for  has reached its intake of 600 qualified candidates began on May 16. This intake cycle was the longest for some time, as the sub-category has often reached its intake within a couple of days, or even shorter, on previous occasions.

The fact that the list of in-demand occupations was amended for the most recent cycle may have played a part in the additional time it took for the sub-category to reach its intake quota this time around. Whereas previously there were 21 occupations listed, the current list includes 17 occupations.

Because this sub-category is aligned with the federal Express Entry selection system, a nomination certificate gives the candidate 600 additional points and that candidate will then be in line for selection at a subsequent draw from the pool.
