British Columbia published the results of its weekly Tech Pilot draw, which issued 31 invitations to qualified Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates with job offers in the 29 keys technology-related occupations. The BC PNP launched its Tech Pilot in 2017 to attract and retain skilled workers and international graduates of Canadian post-secondary institutions with skills required by the province's technology sector. The pilot was updated in June 2018 and extended until June 2019.
Candidates invited under BC's Express Entry -aligned streams obtain 600 additional points under the CRS if their application for provincial nomination is approved.
Skills immigration candidates with a successful nomination from the province will have their applications for permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system.
Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP must first submit an online profile with the BC PNP's skills Immigration Registration system (SIRS) and complete all components of the form.
Once a profile is assessed, applicants receive a score based on education, work experience, and other factors.
