500 New Applications was accepted through Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program announced that it has reopened its International Skilled Worker — Express Entry to 500 new applications today. Candidates applying to the Express Entry sub-category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)’s must first enter the federal Express Entry system.

Applications to this sought-after E-E subcategory are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, which means the SINP’s application intake threshold could be met in a matter of hours as previously seen.
Candidates do not require a job offer to apply to the Express Entry sub-category. However, a minimum level of work experience related to their field of study or training in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B) on the SINP’s In-Demand Occupation list is required.
The SINP’s list of occupations has recently updated. This is the third time this year that the SINP reopens its Express Entry sub-category to candidates in the Express Entry system. During the two previous intake periods, which took place on January 10 and June 13, the maximum application intake was 400.
Candidates who successfully obtain a provincial nomination under the Express Entry sub-category will be awarded an additional 600 points under the accumulated points (CRS).

Updated in-Demand Occupations list

Of the 33 in-demand occupations on the updated list, seven occupations do not require candidates to obtain specific professional licensure. The other 26 occupations do, however, require professional licensure from the licensing bodies designated by the Government of Saskatchewan. In many cases, the licensure process may be completed from outside Canada.
