Canada has launched a new work permit under the Innovation Stream of the International Mobility Program (IMP), aiming to attract skilled foreign workers. This initiative is part of the Tech Talent Strategy, launched in 2023 to make Canada a global tech leader.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must have a job offer from an employer participating in the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP), a government initiative supporting select tech companies with high growth potential.
- The job must be in a high-skilled occupation under TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3.
- Applicants need to meet specific education and experience requirements for their intended job.
- Eligible applicants can apply from within or outside Canada and may benefit from faster processing times for roles under TEER categories 0 or 1.
Selected Employers
Eight tech companies have been chosen to participate, including Ada Support Inc., AlayaCare, CellCarta, Clarius Mobile Health, Clio, Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group, Lightspeed Commerce, and Vive Crop Protection.
