Air Canada and the union representing over 5,200 pilots have reached a tentative four-year agreement, avoiding a strike that could have begun this week.
The deal, which remains confidential until ratification, addresses compensation, retirement, and work rules.
Both Air Canada and its subsidiary, Air Canada Rouge, will continue normal operations while union members vote on the agreement, expected to conclude next month.
