On November 4, Ontario officially closed its Entrepreneur stream within the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). This decision follows a suspension of new applications since December 2023 as the province moves to finalize amendments aimed at winding down the program.
Applications already submitted to the Entrepreneur stream will continue under updated regulations. These updates may allow eligible candidates to still pursue permanent residence if they meet specific business commitments in Ontario.
The OINP will soon reach out to all current applicants, as well as their authorized representatives, with more information on next steps regarding the processing of their applications.
