Saskatchewan is temporarily stopping new applications for job offer-based immigration streams starting February 18, 2025. The pause is expected to last several weeks while the province makes updates. Applications submitted before this date will still be processed.

This change comes after the federal government cut Saskatchewan’s nomination spots by 50% for 2025.

Who Is Affected?
This applies to all programs that require a job offer, including:

  • Skilled workers in Saskatchewan and abroad
  • Tech and healthcare workers
  • Farm workers
  • International graduates working in Saskatchewan

Other Ways to Apply
If you want to move to Saskatchewan but don’t have a job offer, you can still apply through:

  • Occupation In-Demand – For workers with experience in jobs Saskatchewan needs. No job offer required.
  • Express Entry – For skilled workers with strong qualifications looking to apply through the federal system.
  • Rural Immigration Pilot – A new program where workers with a job offer from designated employers in Moose Jaw may qualify.

Saskatchewan is still welcoming skilled workers. For more details, visit the official website of the Government of Saskatchewan: www.saskatchewan.ca/sinp
