New Brunswick Closes AIP Applications for 2025

New Brunswick has reached its 2025 cap for the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) and will no longer accept new endorsement applications. Submissions made on or before April 4 will still be processed.

Other Provinces Still Accepting
The AIP remains open in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and PEI:

  • Nova Scotia: All jobs allowed except NOC 62020.
  • PEI: Limited to healthcare, construction, and manufacturing.
  • NL: No restrictions announced yet.

Why the Early Closure?
New Brunswick hit its limit five months earlier than last year, partly due to federal cuts to provincial immigration quotas.

What Is the AIP?
The Atlantic Immigration Program lets skilled foreign workers and international graduates apply for permanent residency if they have a job offer from a designated employer in one of the four Atlantic provinces. It's an employer-driven program designed to fill local labour shortages.
