If you're planning to immigrate to Ontario through a job offer, there's an important update you need to know: starting July 2, 2025, the process for applying under Ontario’s job offer streams will change.

What’s Changing?
Right now, candidates start the application themselves. But from July 2 onward, the employer must begin the process by submitting job details through a new online portal. Only after that can candidates register their Expression of Interest (EOI).

What If You Already Submitted an EOI?
If you've already submitted an EOI, it will be automatically withdrawn. You'll need to work with your employer to re-submit it under the new system once it launches.

Why the Change?
This update is part of Ontario's move from a paper-based system to a fully digital platform, making the process more streamlined and efficient.

Who Does This Affect?
This change applies to the following streams:

  • Foreign Worker Stream
  • International Student Stream
  • In-Demand Skills Stream
