A targeted Express Entry draw for French-speaking candidates has issued 4,000 invitations for permanent residence.
The CRS cut-off was 400, with only profiles submitted before early April 2026 considered. This makes it one of the more accessible French-language rounds this year.
The draw follows two others held earlier in the week for provincial nominees and candidates with Canadian work experience, continuing the trend of category-based selections instead of general draws.
In 2026, most invitations are still going to candidates already in Canada. At the same time, French-speaking applicants continue to benefit from dedicated rounds with lower score requirements.
Total invitations this year have now exceeded 70,000, with the largest share going to Canadian Experience Class candidates, followed by French-language draws.
