Canada’s latest update shows faster processing for several temporary residence applications, with clearer shifts in actual timelines.
Work permit processing times dropped overall, with many applications now taking roughly 6 to 9 weeks outside Canada, while in-Canada applications remain longer at around 217 days, down from 240 days.
Study permit processing is currently averaging around 4 to 9 weeks for most applications, depending on where they are submitted, with in-Canada applications holding at about 8 weeks.
Visitor visa processing times increased slightly, now ranging roughly between 11 and 48 days, compared to slightly shorter timelines in the previous update.
Super visa applications also improved, with most processing times now falling between 34 and 168 days, with the service standard set at 112 days.
Processing times remain estimates and can vary based on application volume, processing capacity, and case complexity.
