On August 30, Saskatchewan introduced two new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) pathways, targeting healthcare and agriculture workers.

The Tech Talent Pathway will open a new immigration option for tech workers in 11 occupations who wish to move to Saskatchewan.
On March 7, Saskatchewan launched the new Tech Talent Pathway under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) to attract tech workers into the province.
The Tech Talent Pathway is intended to ease critical labour shortages in Saskatchewan’s tech sector. With this new pathway to permanent residence for tech workers, employers in Saskatchewan’s technology and innovation sectors will be able to attract more talent to support growth and increase Saskatchewan’s global competitiveness.

Saskatchewan is emerging as a national leader in employment, reporting the lowest provincial unemployment rate in March at 4.9 percent and the highest job growth in the country with 6,600 new positions added—a 1.1 percent increase. This growth stands in stark contrast to national figures, which saw Canada lose nearly 33,000 jobs and experience a slight rise in unemployment to 6.7 percent. Year-over-year, Saskatchewan also tops the country with a 3.1 percent employment increase.
