Canadians will head to the polls in October to elect a new federal government, which could bring ‎changes to Canada’s current immigration policies. ‎

The program was first launched in February, 2015. This stream operates on an Expression of Interest (EOI) system whereby prospective applicants submit their intention to apply to the program. The most qualified are invited to apply by receiving a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) from the MPNP.

Manitoba issued 150 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) between January 5, 2016 and April 20, 2016 under the business investor stream. The majority of these qualified applicants are from china.

Manitoba's renewed Business Investor Stream has opened to new expressions of interest. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) announced the stream’s opening on May 18.

Canada has now invited 75,300 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent Residence in 2019.

New Federal Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program

As of late January 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will begin accepting applications for the new Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) pilot program. CIC will accept 500 applications for review. Of the 500 applications received approximately 50 will be accepted.

Up to 36,700 job positions will open up over the next 15 years in the Northwest Territories (NWT), and the NWT government is looking internationally to make sure that the territory continues to build a vibrant economy.

As of August 1, 2014 new regulations came into force concerning the definition of dependent children. The age at which a child will be considered a dependant has been changed from under 22 to under 19. In addition, the exception for full-time students has also been abolished. The Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion of Quebec issued on January 16th, 2019, a Ministerial Order concerning the receipt and processing of permanent selection requests submitted under the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program.

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program, one of the most popular investor immigration programs globally, reopened for new applications this week. This Canadian immigration option allows qualified immigrant investors and their dependent family members the opportunity to obtain Canadian permanent residence by investing CAD$800,000 risk-free through an approved financial intermediary.

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is now open to new applications.
Quebec is accepting a total of 1,900 applications in this new intake period, which runs until March 15, 2019.

The popular Quebec Investor program (QIIP) has reopened for up to 1,900 new applications, as of May 29, 2017. The QIIP is Canada's only currently available passive investor immigration program, and throughout the years it has proven popular — the intake is expected to fill before the scheduled end date of the application cycle, February 23, 2018.

The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Diversité et de l'Inclusion (MIDI) has announced that the intake dates for Quebec Investor applications will extend from January 5, 2015 to January 30, 2015. A maximum of 1750 applications will be accepted. Of which, a maximum of 1200 applications from the People's Republic of China will be accepted. However, candidates who have an advanced intermediate knowledge of French are not subject to the cap and may submit an application at any time.
