Clarification of Registration and Application Process for the Human Capital Priorities stream

The government of Ontario has clarified the registration and application process for the human Capital Priorities stream of the Ontario Immigration nominee program . There had been some confusion regarding the new process since the popular stream was reopened last month. This confusion derived from a new online process that includes a registration deadline and an application deadline.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream only selects candidates who are in the Express Entry pool and have Comprehensive (CRS) scores of minimum 400 or above. The candidate must have an Express Entry profile and be eligible to immigrate to Canada under either the federal Skilled worker Class (FSW) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). In addition, the candidate must have the intention to reside in Ontario or is interested in "all provinces and territories."

The March 10 update states the following: 1. Your Notification of Interest (NOI) is valid for 6 months. This means that you must register a profile for the HCP Stream in the OINP e-Filing Portal within 6 months of receiving your NOI from Ontario. 2. Once you register a profile for the HCP Stream in the OINP e Filing Portal, you must submit your complete application to the HCP Stream within 14 calendar days. Ontario has been the most popular immigration destination in Canada for many decades. The province is home to Canada’s largest city, Toronto, as well as the nation’s capital, Ottawa.
