This change was planned earlier this year and took effect on October 1, 2023.
The affected provinces and their new minimum wages are:
- Ontario: $16.55
- Manitoba: $15.30
- Saskatchewan: $14.00 (rising to $15.00 in October 2024)
- Nova Scotia: $15.00
- Newfoundland and Labrador: $15.00
- Prince Edward Island: $15.00
