Quebec Announces Immigration Goals for 2015

This week the Quebec Provincial Government announced its immigration objectives for 2015. This will mark the final stage of the 2012-2015 immigration plan. The government aims to issue between 37,500 and 43,000 selection certificates in 2015. The breakdown of which is as follows:

• Between 28,000 and 31,100 skilled workers. • Between 6,000 and 8,000 business people. • Between 800 and 1,000 other economic migrants. • Between 2,200 and 2,500 foreign refugees. • Between 500 and 700 other individuals.

The province of Quebec has the exclusive authority to select immigrants wishing to settle on its territory. It has immigration offices around the world and administers its own immigration programs which are some of the most attractive and accessible options for immigration to Canada.
