For the twelfth time Express Entry draw from the pool was made on July 11th 2015, during which Citizenship and Immigration Canada issued a total number of 1516 invitations to successful candidates who had acquired minimum 463 CRS points.

The past few days and weeks of September number of Canadian provinces make important announcements in relation to their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) for immigration to Canada.

Canada’s federal and provincial skilled worker immigration programs require that you complete a language test. The language test requirement applies to the federal Express Entry system, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canada’s other various skilled worker streams.

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program operates independently of the AIP and offers prospective candidates nine separate immigration pathways.

Under the Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024, the PNP is the main economic-class immigration program for this year and the next.

When a PNP is aligned with Express Entry, it is known as an enhanced PNP.In order to get an enhanced PNP, candidates first need to be eligible for one of the Express Entry-managed programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), or the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

The Federal Skilled Trades Program was introduced in 2013 to address the shortage of skilled trades workers in Canada.

Canada is yet to issue Express Entry invitations to FSWP candidates in 2021.

Canada has long struggled to find enough workers for its nearly $200 billion agri-food industry, which is why its new immigration pilot is long overdue.

Canada has resumed all-program Express Entry draws as of July 6. Since then, the number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued in each draw has grown by 250 each week, causing the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirements to go down.

IRCC continues to weigh its options and is going to submit a new Express Entry plan to the Deputy Minister. A recent internal memo by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) states the department remains undecided on its Express Entry plans for this year but invitations to FSWP and CEC candidates will resume “later in 2022.”

The Deputy Minister is the senior-most non-political official in each Canadian government department. Unlike the Minister, who is an elected official tasked with carrying out the government’s political agenda, the Deputy Minister is responsible for providing the government with technocratic advice.
